If you want to read short stories for your kids, you can follow us. This story, The Path to Kindness, is specially designed for kids to learn moral lessons that truly help to build their morals. Meran was a seven-year-old boy. He was kind and generous. Sometimes he lost his trust in the bad people, but he always helped others, and a kind act changed his life forever.
The Path to Kindness
Meran was in 3rd grade, and he was warmhearted towards everyone. His mother taught him to help everyone who is in need. He was obeying her mother’s advice properly.
One day his classmate was not taking his lunch; he was saying that he was not hungry, and that’s why he didn’t take his lunch. After the lunch break, he was searching if he could get some spare food to eat.
Meran was observing him carefully. He took a sandwich and placed that sandwich in his lunchbox when no one was in the class. When he returned from the canteen, he took his lunchbox to keep inside the bag, but he felt the lunchbox was heavy.
He opened the lunchbox; there was a sandwich. There were tears of joy in his eyes. He observed everybody in the class, but everyone was busy with their own work. He could not understand who had done this.
He felt thankful for that person who fed him. Meran was feeling proud of his act of kindness. Meran liked to listen to short stories for kids, moral stories with lessons, scary stories, and fairy tales. Every night his mother told him new stories that were full of meaningful lessons.
How the Path to Kindness Changed Meran’s Life
One day Meran was going to school when he watched an old man lying on the road and one person scolding him furiously. He held for a moment and observed what was happening.
The old man was living on rent, and the owner of the house was demanding rent for the house; the old man couldn’t pay the rent for two months. He was very sick; due to this, he couldn’t do any work and didn’t pay his rent.
When the owner of the house went, he asked the old man about the matter. The old man told him the whole story. Maran felt awful for the old man.
After returning home, he planned something good. He started working on that plan from that moment on.
How The Path to Kindness Made a Great Change:
Meran saved a portion of his pocket money and gave it to the old man. His eyes were filled with tears.
But that money was not fulfilling the needs of the old man. The next morning he hit upon an idea; he gathered his class and told them the whole story. They all promised to help the old man as they could.
The next day, the kids brought some money and gathered the money, but still it was not enough to pay the rent of the old man.
Meran was trying to help him a lot, and he succeeded in doing that, as one of his class fellow’s parents knew the whole story, as their kid told them that they were trying to help an old man who was struggling to pay his rent for two months.
They discussed this matter with Meran’s parents and told them that they are raising their kids with great moral values. Their kids should also learn the path to kindness from their kids.
Meran’s parents felt proud; they put some extra money in Meran’s bag. The next morning Meran counted his pocket money and put that into the bag, and there was money in the bag.
He became happy and thought it was the present from his parents as he got A+ grades in his exams. Now, the gathered money was enough for the old man.
The whole class went to the old man and gave him the money. He thanked the whole class and also Meran, who followed the path to kindness.
After that day, the whole class visited the old man regularly, and this act of kindness made their parents happy that they were learning the most important lesson of their lives: that is, the path to kindness.
